TÜRKİYE’DE FOLKLORA YÖNELİŞİN KÖKLERİ
THE ROOTS OF FOLKLORE MOVEMENT TOWARD TURKEY

Folklor; bir milletin kendini tanıması ve tanıtması için yararlanacağı en
önemli kaynaklardan birisidir.
Bağımsızlık mücadelesi veren milletler, millî dil ve tarihleriyle ilgilenip
millî şuurlarını uyandırdıklarında millî bağımsızlıklarını da kazanırlar.
Milliyet fikri Avrupa’da 18. yüzyıl sonunda ortaya çıkmış ve oradan da tüm
dünyaya yayılmıştır. Bu fikirden etkilenen Osmanlı Devleti içindeki halklar
da millet olma bilinciyle hareket etmişler ve bağımsızlık mücadelesine
girişmişlerdir.
Bu çalışmada; Türkiye’deki folklor araştırmalarının ortaya çıkış sebepleri
üzerinde durulacak ve folklor hareketleri; Osmanlı Devletinin gerilemeye
başladığı 1699 Karlofça Antlaşması’ndan, devletin çöktüğü ve saltanatın
resmen kaldırıldığı 1922 tarihine kadarki dönem içinde ele alınıp işlenecektir.
Burada amaç, bir Türk folklor tarihçesi yazmak değil, folklorun Türkiye’de
oluşmasına ve gelişmesine sebep olan unsurları açıklamaya çalışmaktır.

Folklore: Overview of a nation and self-recognition is one of the most importantsources for the benefit. This idea of being consciousfolks in the affected peoples in the Ottoman Empire, and had launched the strugglefor independence. This study will focus on the reasons for the emergence of research inTurkey, folklore and folk dance movements of the Ottoman Empire began to declinein 1699 Karlowitz Treaty, the State has collapsed and the history of the sultanatewas officially abolished until 1922 will be handled during the period. The aim is notto write a history of Turkish folklore, folklore in Turkey to try to explain theelements that cause the formation and development.
